About You:
The WHS Coordinator will partner with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to drive a positive health and safety culture across our network of regional SA office locations. You must have the ability to communicate clearly and build effective relationships to deliver practical solutions, managing risk to drive a proactive safety culture.
To be successful in the role you will need:
- Proven experience within a similar Health and Safety role (within health care an advantage)
- Suitably qualified in WHS or equivalent formal training
- Thrives in effective stakeholder engagement to drive a positive safety culture
- Ability to create and implement fit for purpose health & safety systems, policies & procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
The Role:
This established position will operate across multiple regional sites and is responsible for enhancing the safety culture at all levels through the provision of health and safety expertise. As an integral member of the People and Culture team, the focus will be to implement and maintain work health and safety systems and processes and collaborate with relevant stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Investigation of incidents, accidents, hazard management and return to work coordination
- Providing practical advice on workplace health and safety and acting as first point of contact
- Collaborate with the People & Culture team to develop safety systems, policies and coordinate their consistent application across the organisation
- Manage employee safety and wellbeing and ensure appropriate fitness for work requirements are met
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders to promote a positive WHS culture
- Coordinate WHS meetings and lead site activity training requirements
