We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated
Metal Trades Assistant to join our team based in
Smeaton Grange. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for
long-term, ongoing work with the potential to transition into a permanent position.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on position involving a mix of
factory-based work and onsite installation duties. You will be assisting qualified tradespeople with a variety of metal fabrication and installation tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with general metal fabrication and assembly
- Use of hand and power tools
- Supporting onsite installation projects
- Loading/unloading materials and maintaining a clean work environment
- Following safety procedures at all times
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a similar TA or trades assistant role (preferred)
- Ability to work both in a workshop and onsite environments
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
- White Card (required for onsite work)
- Driver's licence and reliable transport (highly regarded)
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
