Lead Structural Engineer – Energy

What you’ll do
As a Lead Structural Engineer in our Energy team based in Brisbane, you’ll contribute to projects and programs that make a real difference and be part of a team that embraces challenges, welcomes diverse ideas, and engineer solutions with people and outcomes in mind. You will:
Oversee structural design delivery across substations, transmission, BESS, solar, wind and power plant projects.
Partner with clients to solve complex technical challenges and deliver practical engineering solutions.
Guide and support a collaborative team, sharing knowledge and developing technical capability.
Drive high-quality structural designs using industry-leading tools, methodologies and best practices.
Collaborate with teams across engineering, advisory, digital and environmental disciplines.
Apply advanced engineering analysis to optimise performance, efficiency and constructability.
Champion technical excellence, innovation and continuous improvement across projects and teams.
Build trusted client relationships and support the growth of Aurecon's Energy business.
Foster an inclusive, supportive team environment where people can learn, grow and thrive.
What you’ll bring
Relevant engineering qualifications plus significant experience delivering structural designs for energy infrastructure projects, with CPEng and RPEQ registration.
Proven experience designing steel and reinforced concrete structures, with expertise in structural analysis, modelling and foundation design.
Supportive approach to mentoring teams, sharing knowledge and helping others grow while guiding complex technical decisions.
Ability to build trusted relationships and work effectively with clients, colleagues and multidisciplinary teams.
Experience leading projects and balancing technical excellence with programme, budget and delivery outcomes.
A passion for innovation, continuous improvement and supporting the energy transition.
