We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Dress Checker & Seamstress to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong sewing skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for garment quality and craftsmanship.
About the Role
You will be responsible for inspecting dresses before dispatch, identifying and resolving quality issues, and carrying out garment alterations and repairs to ensure every gown meets our high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality control inspections on bridal, bridesmaid, formal, and evening gowns.
- Identify and rectify manufacturing faults, defects, and finishing issues.
- Perform sewing repairs and garment alterations as required.
- Resize dresses and make fit adjustments according to specifications.
- Repair zips, seams, hems, embellishments, linings, and other garment components.
- Steam, prepare, and present garments to company standards.
- Ensure all dresses are thoroughly checked before being approved for dispatch.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and quality control outcomes.
- Assist with general warehouse and garment handling duties as required.
About You
- Previous experience as a seamstress, machinist, garment technician, or alterations specialist.
- Strong sewing and garment construction knowledge.
- Experience working with formalwear, bridalwear, eveningwear, or fashion garments is highly regarded.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple garments simultaneously.
- Reliable, organised, and capable of meeting deadlines.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Pay: $24.95 – $38.86 per hour
