Are you an experienced Diesel Fitter with strong leadership skills and a passion for keeping heavy machinery, trucks & trailers running at its best? Osborne Group are looking for a hands-on Diesel Mechanic to join our Caboolture-based heavy haulage and plant machinery company.
This is a full-time role overseeing our workshop operations, ensuring our fleet and plant equipment are maintained to the highest standard.
About the Role
As our Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for:
- Performing diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on heavy haulage trucks, trailers, and plant machinery
- Scheduling and coordinating maintenance tasks
- Ensuring workshop safety, efficiency, and compliance
- Managing parts, tooling, and inventory
- Liaising with management and drivers to minimise downtime
- Maintaining service records and job documentation
This is a hands-on position suitable for someone who enjoys both leadership and mechanical work.
About You
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- Proven experience with heavy haulage and plant machinery
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
