About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you'll support people to live as independently as possible while achieving their goals and participating in their community.
At QLSS, you will have the opportunity to work alongside people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, helping them overcome barriers to accessing services and achieving their goals through the NDIS.
You will support participants with a range of complex needs, including psycho-social disabilities and trauma-related support needs, providing person-centred and culturally responsive support that respects each individual's background, values and lived experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

Personal care and hygiene support
- Daily living assistance and household tasks
- Medication assistance and documentation
- Community participation and social engagement
- Meal preparation and healthy living support
- SIL support within structured home environments
- Accurate record keeping and shift documentation
- Support delivered in line with individual NDIS goals and plans
What We're Looking For
We're seeking people who are professional, reliable, compassionate and committed to delivering high-quality support.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- Current CPR & First Aid Certificate
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Current driver's licence and reliable fully insured vehicle for work or business purposes
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Legal right to work in Australia
Highly Desirable
- Certificate IV in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services
- Previous experience in disability, aged care, community services or mental health support
- Experience working within NDIS or SIL environments
