Summary
Our client CSMI Constructions is seeking to add a Construction Project Manager to support the delivery of residential and commercial first stage construction projects across South Australia. With extensive expertise in site preparation, earthworks, haulage, footings and slab construction, the company has built a strong reputation for quality workmanship, safety, reliability and collaborative project delivery. This role will oversee project planning, resource coordination, compliance, stakeholder engagement and successful project outcomes.
The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Plan, coordinate and oversee multiple construction projects from commencement to completion.
- Develop project schedules, budgets and resource allocation plans.
- Coordinate site preparation, earthworks, footing and slab construction activities.
- Monitor project progress to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Assess and interpret architectural drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
- Coordinate procurement and delivery of materials, plant and equipment.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel across project stages.
- Ensure compliance with safety legislation, building codes and quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor workmanship quality throughout construction.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, engineers and regulatory authorities.
- Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Prepare project reports, progress updates and budget forecasts.
- Manage contract administration, variations and project documentation.
- Negotiate with stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Lead project teams to ensure efficient and timely delivery.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:
- Bachelor qualification in construction management, engineering or related discipline, or extensive equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum one year of relevant experience in construction project coordination or project management roles within the building and construction industry.
- Strong ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical project documentation accurately.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, suppliers and regulatory authorities, to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Australian construction legislation, safety requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Highly developed stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills across diverse project environments.
- Strong budgeting, cost control and project scheduling experience within the construction industry.
- Ability to identify project risks, manage variations and deliver projects within agreed timeframes.
