What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Head of Product (Data) you’ll be involved in
Product Delivery
Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring work is prioritised according to customer value, business impact and strategic goals.
Translate product strategy into epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria.
Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning and release activities.
Work with Engineering and Design teams to ensure solutions are delivered to a high standard and meet customer needs.
Identify and manage dependencies, risks and delivery constraints.
Monitor delivery progress and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Customer & Market Understanding
Develop a deep understanding of customer problems, behaviours and workflows.
Participate in customer research, interviews and validation activities.
Gather and synthesise feedback from customers, internal stakeholders and market insights.
Use evidence and data to inform prioritisation and decision-making.
Continuously evaluate opportunities to improve customer outcomes and product adoption.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the central point of coordination between Product, Engineering, Design and business stakeholders.
Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions and product reviews.
Build strong relationships with internal teams to ensure alignment and shared understanding.
Communicate priorities, decisions, trade-offs and delivery outcomes effectively.
Support go-to-market, change management and adoption activities where required.
Data-Driven Product Management
Define and track product success metrics.
Analyse product usage, customer feedback and operational performance.
Use qualitative and quantitative insights to guide prioritisation decisions.
Establish feedback loops that enable continuous improvement and product evolution.
Monitor the impact of released features and make recommendations for optimisation.
Who we're looking for

Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or similar product delivery role.
Strong understanding of Agile product development methodologies.
Experience managing and prioritising product backlogs.
Ability to write high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and customer insights.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
Experience within SaaS, technology or platform-based businesses.
Experience working with data-driven products.
Experience working in fast-paced product organisations.
Knowledge of modern product management practices and tooling.

Within 1 month:
You have developed a clear understanding of the product strategy, customer problems, roadmap, key metrics and business priorities.
You have established strong working relationships with Engineering, Design, Product Management and key business stakeholders.
You understand the existing backlog, current initiatives, dependencies and delivery processes.
You are actively participating in sprint ceremonies and contributing to backlog management.
Within 3 months:
You are independently managing a defined area of the product or roadmap.
You are creating high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria and backlog priorities.
You are leading backlog refinement and stakeholder discussions with confidence.
You are making informed prioritisation decisions using customer, commercial and delivery considerations.
You are facilitating discovery, requirements gathering and solution discussions.
You are tracking delivery progress and proactively managing risks and dependencies.
You are using product and customer data to support decisions.
Within 6 months:
You fully owns a product domain, initiative or capability area.
You operate largely independently while maintaining strong stakeholder alignment.
You have successfully delivered multiple releases or significant product improvements.
You demonstrate strong judgement when balancing customer needs, commercial outcomes and technical constraints.
You use data proactively to evaluate product success and inform future priorities.
You are recognised as a trusted partner by Product, Engineering and business stakeholders.
You actively identify opportunities to improve customer value, product adoption and operational efficiency.
We operate a Flexible Working Policy and we would like for you to work from our Brisbane or Sydney office 1- 2 days a week.
