About the business:
Australian Gourmet Nuts (AGN) is a macadamia processing facility specialising in high-quality, value-added macadamia products for local and export markets. We partner with growers to deliver premium Australian macadamias with a focus on quality, consistency, and long-term relationships.
We are looking for a General Manager to join our team at Newrybar. This is a full-time position to lead the merger and integration of a nut processing plant into an existing nut processing business. The role focuses on stabilising operations, aligning people, processes, training, and systems, and
implementing disciplined commercial and operational practices to achieve sustainable profitability.
Responsibilities:
· Leading the merger and operational integration of the nut processing plant into the existing business.
· Aligning people, training, systems, and processes to stabilise operations and drive profitability.
· Providing hands-on leadership to management and operational teams.
· Implementing appropriate operational, financial, and reporting controls.
· Providing regular progress updates and delivering a structured handover at the conclusion of the appointment.
Requirements:
· A bachelor degree or higher qualification in business or another highly relevant field.
· A minimum of 5 years of experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
· Experience in the nut industry and/or international supply chain
· Experience in business turnaround from loss making to return to profit
Salary:
$100,000 - $120,000 per annum
