We are the people who give possibilities purpose
BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world. Advancing the world of health™ is our Purpose, and it’s no small feat. It takes the imagination and passion of all of us—from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year—to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.
Own complex capital sales opportunities and help hospitals transform the way medication is managed through automation, robotics and connected technology.
At BD, possibility isn’t an idea. It’s what we do. We are the Makers of Possible.
Through our Medication Management Solutions (MMS) business, BD is helping hospitals improve medication safety, streamline workflows and drive operational efficiencies through market-leading technologies including BD Rowa Pharmacy Robotics, Pyxis Automated Dispensing Systems and Alaris Infusion Systems.
Join our NSW team as an Account Manager and drive the continued growth of our MMS portfolio across public and private hospitals.
This is not a transactional sales role.
You'll be managing complex, high-value opportunities that can span months and sometimes years, requiring you to build compelling business cases, navigate hospital procurement processes and influence stakeholders from clinical users right through to executive leadership teams.
If you enjoy solving complex challenges, building long-term relationships and seeing large-scale projects through from initial conversation to implementation, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
You’ll grow BD’s capital equipment footprint across NSW/ACT by owning the full sales cycle - from identifying opportunities to closing major deals.
You will:
Drive new capital equipment sales across Rowa, Pyxis and Alaris
Prospect and build relationships across clinical, technical and executive stakeholders
Manage complex, long‑cycle sales processes (2 months to 2+ years)
Lead demonstrations, workflow evaluations and clinical/technical solution discussions
Develop territory and account plans with clear growth strategies
Partner with Marketing and Clinical teams to deliver campaigns and customer programs
Track market trends and competitor activity to shape your approach
Maintain rigorous pipeline management and forecasting in CRM
Collaborate with other BD business units for aligned hospital engagement
Attend conferences, workshops and hospital networking events
You’re a natural hunter who knows how to win business when the door isn’t already open. As an established capital equipment salesperson, you'll be accustomed to the processes in public and private hospitals for securing budget allocation for capital equipment and understand how to communicate the value of your product suite as a 'must have' solution that hugely benefits the customer.
You’ll bring:
3+ years’ experience selling capital equipment into hospitals
Experience generating your own pipeline - not relying on inbound leads
Success winning business from challenger positions
Strong commercial acumen and funnel management discipline
Confidence influencing decisions across clinical, technical and executive levels
Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
Ability to manage complex sales cycles and multiple stakeholders
A proactive, self‑motivated, growth‑mindset approach
Tertiary qualifications in science, nursing, engineering or business (desirable)
Driver’s licence + ability to travel NSW/ACT
