About the Position
Due to internal movements, an opportunity has arisen to join our team at the Jellinbah mine site.
We are actively seeking an experienced
Bench Assistant / Blast Crew to work a 7/7 day shift only roster.
Core accountabilities include:
- Carry out loading explosives and priming of blast holes
- Dipping of blast holes and recording of information accurately
- Delineation of active blast loading areas
- Safe and efficient operation of duties
- Carry out pre-starts on equipment
- Regularly carry out workplace Take 5’s
- Conduct bulk product quality tests as required
- Attend toolbox discussions
- Contribute to a respectful and inclusive work environment
About you
• Demonstrated experience working in the drill & blast industry
- Unwavering commitment to safety and efficiency
- Ability to work well within a team and unsupervised
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
What you need
• Current open C class drivers licence (HR licence desirable)
- National Police Clearance (Less than 3 months old or willing to obtain)
- QLD Security Clearance for handling explosives (or willing to obtain)
- Current QLD Coal Board Medical (or willing to obtain)
- Standard 11 (or willing to obtain)
