YOUR ROLE
- Operating: Managing and configuring large scale bib / start-number recognition of various sporting events using our existing, internal engine.
- Optimizing: Improving the efficiency of our recognition algorithms. You’ll be adjusting filters, settings and workflows in close cooperation with our tech and operations teams to balance recognition accuracy, quality and processing costs.
- Quality Control: Ensuring rigorous quality standards for bib recognition and facilitating the hand-off to the final delivery workflow.
- Collaboration: Working within a distributed, international team and coordinating with external service providers.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Operations & Mindset
- Experience in reviewing and processing a large amount of data within tight deadlines while maintaining high and consistent quality
- Interest in AI and openness to evolving technological solutions is highly desired
- Reliable availability for high-volume weekend work when our events are live
- Technical Stack:
- A solid understanding of raster graphics and familiarity with OCR as well as mathematical image algorithms (e.g., edge detection, sharpness filter)
- Strong proficiency in Powershell and Python with a good understanding of JSON and XML data structures is required
- Knowledge of Linux, C# and database management systems is a plus
- Basic experience in photography and image editing could be helpful
