Position: Casual Supported Independent Living (SIL) House Support Worker
Location: Seabrook, VIC
Hours: 24-hour roster including active day and evening shifts, and inactive overnight (sleepover) shifts. Ongoing casual position with consistent, regular shifts available.
About the Role
Resilient Life Care is seeking compassionate, reliable, and experienced Support Workers to join our dedicated 24-hour Supported Independent Living (SIL) team in Seabrook.
This role involves supporting a young adult male participant with high support needs within his SIL home. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will provide person-centred support that promotes independence, dignity, choice, and quality of life while ensuring the participant's daily care and support requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality personal care and daily living support within the participant's SIL home.
- Assist with transfers using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment.
- Support meal preparation, household tasks, and maintaining a safe, clean home environment.
- Assist with community access, appointments, recreational activities, and social participation.
- Encourage independence, routine, and skill development in line with the participant's goals.
- Maintain accurate shift notes and promptly report any changes in the participant's health or wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with the 24-hour support team to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
- Complete inactive overnight (sleepover) shifts as rostered and respond to participant needs when required.
- Follow individual support plans, behaviour support strategies, and organisational policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Current National Police Check.
- Valid Victorian Driver Licence.
- Experience working in Supported Independent Living (SIL) or disability support.
- Experience supporting participants with high support needs.
- Competency in manual handling and participant transfers (hoist experience highly regarded).
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, professional, and committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred supports.
- Availability to work a rotating 24-hour roster, including weekends and inactive overnight shifts.
Desirable
- Experience supporting young adults with complex physical or behavioural support needs.
- Manual Handling and Medication Administration training.
- NDIS orientation and other relevant disability support training.
- Flexibility to work ongoing shifts across a 24/7 roster.

Pay: $34.00 – $39.00 per hour
