About the role
Mater Foundation has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Campaigns Manager to join our Corporate & Community Engagement team and lead the delivery of major community fundraising campaigns and events. This is a permanent, full-time position based at Newstead.
You’ll work across high-profile campaigns including the International Women’s Day Fun Run and Mater Smiling for Smiddy, as well as virtual and digital fundraising campaigns. You’ll play a key role in growing participation, supporter engagement and peer-to-peer fundraising to achieve Mater Foundation’s strategic and financial goals.

Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you'll be doing
- Lead the planning and delivery of major peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns, events and digital campaigns, driving participation, revenue and sustainable growth.
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies and operational plans, using data, insights and audience segmentation to inform campaign direction and targeting.
- Develop fundraising tactics across campaigns and work closely with Marketing and Corporate Partnerships to deliver effective communications across relevant channels.
- Drive participant recruitment, peer-to-peer fundraising, supporter acquisition and retention.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external agencies, suppliers, sponsors and community partners and supporters.
- Lead project planning and delivery, managing timelines, budgets, risks and competing priorities to ensure campaign KPIs are achieved.
- Use digital fundraising platforms, Power BI dashboards and reporting tools to monitor participation, supporter engagement and financial performance.
- Lead, mentor and coach team members and collaborate across Mater to deliver successful campaigns.
- Represent Mater Foundation as an ambassador at fundraising activities and in the wider community.
About you
You’ll be an experienced fundraising professional with a proven track record in leading the development, management and implementation of fundraising programs and projects. You’ll bring strong peer-to-peer fundraising and digital marketing expertise, along with the ability to build relationships and deliver results.
You will also have:
- 5+ years’ experience in fundraising program and project management.
- Experience using mass marketing techniques in fundraising, including, segmentation and fundraising messaging.
- A proven track record in managing supporter relationships and developing acquisition and retention strategies.
- Experience managing peer-to-peer fundraising events.
- Strong project management skills, including developing project plans and timelines, communicating with stakeholders and monitoring delivery against budget and required standards.
- Strong communication, writing, organisation and planning skills.
- The ability to influence and collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive, innovative and solutions-focused approach, with a passion for identifying new fundraising and marketing opportunities.
- A tertiary qualification in fundraising, communications, marketing or a related discipline would be advantageous.
