The Opportunity
As our branded export business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Export Sales Manager to lead the commercial development of our Middle East and Southeast Asian markets. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you'll take ownership of a strategically important region, build long-term customer partnerships and contribute to the continued growth of one of Australia's leading agribusinesses. Success in this role will come from developing strong customer relationships while balancing commercial performance, margin optimisation and whole-carcass utilisation. You'll also represent ACC through customer visits, trade missions and international industry events, helping strengthen our presence across these important markets.
About You
We're looking for an accomplished commercial sales professional who understands export markets and enjoys building lasting customer partnerships.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated success in export sales within the beef, red meat, protein or food manufacturing sectors (within Australia's beef export industry will be highly regarded).
- A willingness to travel internationally to support customer growth and market development.
- Knowledge of global beef markets, particularly an understanding of trade structures, regulations, specification requirements and customer networks in the GCC (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain) and SEA (Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia) regions.
- Understanding of documentation requirements and process for relevant markets, including export permits, health certificates, incoterms, etc.
- Commercial acumen with an ability to analyse pricing strategies, foreign exchange impacts, freight costs and customer profitability.
- Stock management with understanding of inventory balancing across markets to utilise full carcase and manage aged stocks.
Ability to work effectively across different cultures giving consideration to negotiation styles, business etiquette, communication preferences, cultural holidays and events.
