About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Education Officer to support the delivery of the NSW Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) Grant Program.
Working within our clients Centre for Sustainability team, this role will contribute to the successful planning and delivery of education, engagement and behaviour change initiatives that support businesses, communities and stakeholders in preparing for the NSW FOGO mandate.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about sustainability, resource recovery and community engagement to make a meaningful impact while working alongside industry-leading sustainability professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver education sessions, workshops, webinars and presentations to customers and stakeholders across NSW.
- Support FOGO education, engagement and behaviour change initiatives as part of the NSW FOGO Grant Program.
- Build strong relationships with customers, councils, industry partners and community stakeholders.
- Conduct customer site visits, supporting assessments, data collection and project evaluation.
- Develop educational and communication resources and provide guidance on waste management, resource recovery and FOGO.
- Assist with project coordination, administration, reporting and data management to support successful project outcomes.
Skills & Experience
- Experience working with customers, community groups, businesses or other stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships.
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel throughout NSW. (Essential)
- Knowledge of waste management, resource recovery, circular economy principles or environmental sustainability. (Desirable)
- Experience working with councils, government agencies or community stakeholders. (Desirable)
- Experience coordinating projects or grant-funded initiatives. (Desirable)
