Due to exciting expansion, a rare opportunity has opened in our in-house dental laboratory for a talented and passionate Ceramist to join our growing team.
This is a unique role; you won't be working in a standalone lab far removed from clinical outcomes. You'll work directly alongside our experienced dental team, with visibility over the full patient journey and real pride in the results you produce.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Dental Ceramists will be responsible for fabricating porcelain crowns and veneers and prosthetic appliances to the highest standard using traditional hand-layered and modern technique. Adequate training and orientation will be provided to someone with basic experience.
This position is suitable for someone who has minimal experience of 3-5 years as Ceramist/ junior ceramist. You will be capable of providing high quality workmanship and have the ability to work unsupervised or in a team environment.
You will also be responsible for all aspects of the application of ceramics in the manufacturing of fixed prostheses. This includes the production of PFM, Emax, and Zirconia crowns, the use of traditional pressed ceramics, staining, glazing, 3D Printing, and Milling using advanced CAD/CAM systems.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this Role:
- Excellent Aesthetic and Smile Design knowledge
- Appropriate Dental Technology Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years' experience as a Dental Ceramist
- Experience working with a CAD/CAM system will be a bonus
- Experience in ExoCad will be of great advantage but not necessary
- High attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- An eagerness to learn and a positive attitude
- Excellent knowledge in Dental Anatomy
- Ability to work well under pressure and capable of meeting deadlines and completing work as per delivery schedules
