About the role:
Western Health’s Intensive Care Units are seeking highly motivated and suitably qualified Intensive Care Nurses to join our dedicated critical care team.

Key responsibilities:
- Ensure safe and high quality, evidence-based patient care is planned and delivered that is in line with Western Health values (Cares - Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence and Safety), policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure best care for patients.
- Promote and maintain a positive workplace culture that supports teamwork.
- Support, mentor and promote ongoing learning and professional development for all staff within the unit.
- Actively participate in quality improvement projects for the source.
About you:
- Postgraduate Certificate in Intensive Care Nursing or Critical Care Nursing.
- Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (APHRA).
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently, as required.
- Demonstrated passion for intensive care nursing and a commitment to being a positive role model within the unit.
- Flexibility to work within a rotating roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills.

Western Health’s ICU at Footscray Hospital is seeking highly motivated and suitably qualified Intensive Care Nurses to join our dedicated critical care team.
Footscray ICU provides care to general medical/surgical adult patients in our state-of-the-art facility. Footscray ICU has two 11-bed pods, currently running at 11 ICU equivalent. It’s designed and specially equipped to provide advanced physiological monitoring and life supporting therapies to patients with a critical illness.

Western Health’s ICU at Sunshine Hospital is seeking highly motivated and suitably qualified Intensive Care Nurses to join our dedicated critical care team.
The Sunshine ICU provides care for a diverse range of patients, including those with general medical, surgical and obstetric conditions. It features 13 physical bed spaces and accommodates up to 12 ICU equivalents. Specifically designed and equipped, Sunshine ICU offers advanced physiological monitoring and life-support therapies for patients experiencing critical illnesses.
