About the role:
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced mental health clinician to join the Melton Community Mental Health Team in a senior clinical position.
The Senior Mental Health Clinician provides recovery-oriented assessment, treatment and care coordination for consumers experiencing complex mental health needs. Alongside managing an allocated caseload, the role provides day-to-day clinical guidance, mentoring and support to clinicians within a multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing advanced mental health assessment, formulation, treatment and risk management.
- Developing recovery-focused care plans in partnership with consumers, families and carers.
- Coordinating care with internal teams, primary health providers and community services.
- Providing senior clinical advice and support for complex or high-risk presentations.
- Mentoring junior clinicians, students and less experienced staff.
- Contributing to clinical reviews, multidisciplinary meetings, service improvement and clinical governance activities.
- Supporting a positive, collaborative and accountable team culture.
About you:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or Psychologist with strong clinical judgement, communication and organisational skills.
Applicants must have demonstrated experience working with consumers with complex needs in a public mental health setting, along with sound knowledge of recovery-oriented practice and the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022.
