We are seeking up to 2 candidates to become a valued part of our small yet efficient family owned and run team in South Windsor, NSW 2756. If you have demonstrated experience in process work, warehousing & logistics, pick & pack work and are ready to grow into a Line Leader role earned through demonstrated ability alongside ample on the job training as opposed to being "thrown in the deep end" on day one, you may excel in this role.
This position is ideal for someone who values structure, reliability, efficiency, safety, consistency, takes pride in their work and has a positive attitude towards work with a proven ability to work well as part of a team as well as contributing individually through showing initiative. This position would not be suitable for someone who would expect to walk straight into a senior management level role on day one before mastering the basics, and is instead geared towards those looking to take on the challenge of undergoing hands-on training across all daily key production tasks and actively participating on a moderate to fast paced production line, then progressing into becoming one of our valued line leaders through demonstrated competence, reliability and respect for well established work processes.
You will start by learning the fundamentals of our aerosol filling business, including but not limited to:
- Preparing necessary components for the required job to be run
- Line setup and shutdown
- Aerosol packing and quality control checks that demand a high level of attention to detail
- Documentation and maintaining accurate record keeping
- Strict adherence to essential safety and compliance procedures
- Maintaining a neat and tidy work space and storage areas
Once the above key responsibilities are being well handled on a daily basis, we would consider you to be eligible for role progression with increased responsibilities that include:
- Coordinating staff assigned to your line
- Running production to a set schedule
- Troubleshooting of minor machine issues as they arise
- Communicating effectively with senior management staff, administrative and production teams
- Taking part in training junior staff
- Maintaining a safe, smooth, efficient workflow
To succeed in these roles, you will:
- Demonstrate strong reliability and work ethic
- Have excellent listening skills and strong attention to detail
- Display the patience and willingness necessary to undertake essential training in our well established work processes
- Demonstrate the ability to learn hands-on tasks quickly
- Calm, professional behavior and strong communication skills
- Show leadership potential without entitlement or expectation of walking into a senior leadership role on your first day with the team
- Enjoy a generous starting hourly rate that only increases with your performance
- Development of transferable skills that would make you an asset to any business engaged in manufacturing and process work, production lines and the management of small teams
- Enjoy ongoing, consistent full time work on a permanent basis if desired by the right candidate for the roles available
Work Culture
We are a small but highly productive, safety focused family owned and led local business with a stable existing team that values clear expectations, routines, provides a supportive environment with a strong focus on training high performance candidates who take pride in their work and value consistency and quality.
