The Client Acquisition (CA) team is the dedicated new-to-bank origination function for Regional and Agribusiness Banking (RAB). We focus on medium to large private companies and listed businesses, acting as the gateway to the full breadth of our financial solutions.
Do Work That Matters
At the forefront of business origination and deal execution, you’ll identify and develop new lending opportunities for regional commercial clients, with deal sizes typically ranging from $15m to $200m and annual turnover between $50m and $2bn.
This is a pure origination role — focused solely on winning new business, with no portfolio management component.
What You’ll Do
- Identify, pursue and acquire high-quality new-to-bank clients through your networks and referral channels
- Lead end-to-end transaction execution, ensuring a seamless transition to relationship teams
- Build strong internal partnerships to deliver integrated client outcomes
- Develop and maintain a robust referral ecosystem to support sustained origination activity
What We’re Looking For
- Proven track record in high-performance business development and client acquisition
- Demonstrated success winning new commercial or emerging corporate clients
- Strong, established networks across Regional NSW and/or ACT markets
- Excellent transaction execution and stakeholder management capabilities
- Ability to work autonomously and travel regularly to regional locations at short notice
- Strong credit acumen and commercial judgement
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
