As an Assistant Night Manager, you will support the smooth overnight operation of Elysium Manly, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, safety and seamless service.
Main responsibilities:

Assist the Night Manager with the night audit process, and conduct Night Auditor duties while on shift.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on network and system audit controls.
- Investigate security breaches, completing the relevant forms and notifying authorities via the correct process.
- Handle disruptive guests, arranging discreet removal from the property if needed.
- Act on behalf of other departments in the absence of their managers during night operations.
- Handle guest complaints promptly, following up to resolve the issue.
- Monitor occupancy to maximise yield, and maintain accurate guest history.
- Carry out a complete handover to the next Assistant Manager.
- Apply full knowledge of fire procedures, taking control in the event of a fire.
- Lead and support the Night Audit team’s performance, training and development in line with Elysium brand and service standards.
- Support new team member induction, presentation standards and completion of mandatory Elysium training.
- Ensure accurate billing, banking and financial transactions, maintaining secure cash - handling and supporting Finance requirements.
- Deliver friendly, professional and respectful service, acting as an Elysium ambassador at all times.
Your experience and skills include:

Minimum 3 years of relevant Night Audit experience in a hotel or serviced apartments environment.
- Hospitality qualifications and Fire Warden experience is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office and Opera.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Strong communication skills with confident spoken and written English.
- Excellent presentation and a warm, welcoming personality.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate is essential.
- Valid Australian Working Rights / Visa is essential.
