Chef (Cafe)
Job Responsibilities:
- Planning menu in consultation with management for the occasions and ongoing.
- Managing team of cooks and kitchen staff for smooth operations.
- Manage food preparation and cooking processes in a fast-paced environment.
- Ensure all food items are prepared according to safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Maintain inventory levels, order ingredients, and manage stock to minimize waste.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
- Training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.
- Stay updated on industry trends and customer preferences to bring new ideas to the table.
- Provide and maintain a safe and healthy workplace. Requirements:
- Proven experience as a chef role, preferably in a sandwich bar, café, or restaurant.
- Passion for food and creating unique, dishes and starters.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Creativity and a willingness to experiment with new ingredients and flavors.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Salary: $77,000 to $85,000 (Plus Superannuation).
- Position-Full time -38hours/week
- Experience: 1-2 years
- Qualification: Diploma in hospitality or equivalent.
- Visa Status: Full working rights.
- Preference will be given to Australian citizens/PR
