About The Team
As part of the Marketing & Communications Office, the Events & Partnerships team brings together expertise in event management, stakeholder engagement and partnership development. The team leads the planning and delivery of major University events, while supporting and advising other areas of the University to ensure events are professional, impactful, and aligned with the University's strategic priorities.
Your New Role!
As an Events Assistant, you'll be part of a dynamic team that delivers a diverse range of University events and commercial bookings. You'll support event planning and coordination, liaise with stakeholders, manage key administrative processes, and provide on-the-day support to help create memorable and impactful experiences.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across all aspects of event delivery while working closely with a collaborative team and contributing to events that support the University's strategic goals.
Your key responsibilities will include -
Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of events.
Prepare event documentation, including briefs and run sheets.
Coordinate event logistics and stakeholder communications.
Process invoices, purchase orders, and event-related financial administration.
Provide on-the-day operational support to ensure successful event outcomes.

This Fixed Term (12 Months) | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $74K – $82K (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you’ll bring to the role:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in administration or event coordination/support.
Confident managing invoices, expenses, and other financial administration tasks.
Self-motivated, organised, and able to take ownership of responsibilities.
Collaborative team player with excellent stakeholder support skills.
Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
