About the role – 2 x Casual Positions | Mount Barker
Join our Disability Pathways team as a Casual Disability Support Worker supporting an NDIS participant in the Mount Barker community. These roles offer approximately 16 hours per week, primarily across afternoon, evening and passive overnight shifts, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts as they become available.
This is more than a traditional support worker role. You will provide person-centred support with daily living, appointments, community participation and skill development, while building a genuine professional relationship and supporting the participant to live the life she chooses.
You will be supporting a friendly woman with a bright personality who enjoys having fun and connecting with the people around her. She enjoys watching movies, particularly family and children's films, playing games, getting creative through arts and crafts, and participating in community activities. The ideal support worker will be happy to get involved in her interests, encourage new experiences, and help create a positive and engaging environment where she feels supported and empowered.
About you:
You enjoy building genuine connections and supporting people to live the life they choose. You are kind, patient and enthusiastic, and enjoy creating a positive environment where people feel supported, valued and encouraged to participate in their community. You bring a warm, proactive approach and are passionate about helping people build confidence, develop independence and achieve their goals.
You will also have the following skills and experience:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent.

Experience supporting people with disability, psychosocial disability, or complex support needs.

Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support and the ability to maintain professional boundaries.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to connect with others.

Reliability, initiative, and the confidence to work independently while following support plans and routines.

A patient, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to supporting individual needs and preferences.

A genuine commitment to person-centred practice and delivering high-quality support.
