Good Food Distributors is looking for a reliable and motivated Wholesale Warehouse Worker to join our growing team, with the opportunity for the right person to step into a warehouse lead / senior role.
We are a busy food distribution business supplying quality products across the Hunter, Newcastle, Port Stephens and surrounding areas. This role would suit someone who is hands-on, organised, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in getting the job done properly.
About the Role
You will be involved in the day-to-day running of our wholesale warehouse, including picking, packing and preparing customer orders for delivery. For the right person, there is potential to take on additional responsibility helping lead the warehouse team, support workflow, and ensure orders are completed accurately and efficiently.
Key Duties Include
- Picking and packing wholesale customer orders
- Receiving, checking and putting away stock
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse
- Rotating stock and checking dates
- Assisting with loading delivery vehicles
- Working closely with drivers, sales and office staff
- Helping ensure orders are accurate and ready on time
- Supporting warehouse processes and team coordination
- Potential to step into a lead role for the right applicant
What We’re Looking For
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Food industry, cold storage or distribution experience highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual and physically fit
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Forklift licence highly regarded but not essential
- Leadership experience or the ability to step up would be a bonus
