Your New Role
As a Data Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines supporting the flow of information into and out of the Workday platform. You’ll collaborate with integration architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure data is transformed, validated, and delivered to support reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop ETL data pipelines between Workday and other enterprise systems.
- Lead legacy data extraction, cleansing, mapping, and loading into Workday.
- Collaborate with reporting teams to support analytics and compliance.
- Implement validation rules and monitoring tools for data quality.
- Align data flows with business processes and technical standards.
- Ensure data handling meets security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain documentation of data models and pipeline logic.
- Build and maintain data models for reporting and analytics.
- Contribute to the Technical Data Dictionary and Data Catalogue.
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Deep understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, and data modelling.
- Familiarity with Workday data structures (HCM, Payroll, Finance).
- Experience with mission-critical data platforms and automation.
- Strong SQL, Python, and ETL tool skills.
- Experience with Azure SQL Server Databases and/or Snowflake.
- Certifications in Workday Integration, Data Conversion, Reporting, and Analytics (desirable).
- Excellent communication and client focus.
