About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and client-focused Occupational Therapist to join our growing team for guaranteed 4 hours per week to begin with.
This role is ideal for an OT who enjoys working collaboratively with clients, families, carers and other health professionals to help people increase their independence, participate in everyday activities and achieve meaningful goals.
You will manage a varied caseload and provide high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy services in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments.
- Develop individualised intervention plans based on each client's needs and goals.
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions.
- Complete functional capacity and daily living assessments as required.
- Provide recommendations regarding assistive technology, equipment and environmental modifications.
- Support clients to improve independence, participation and quality of life.
- Prepare clear, professional clinical documentation, reports and progress notes.
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, support coordinators and other allied health professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely client records.
- Participate in case conferences, team meetings and professional development.
- Manage your caseload effectively while maintaining a high standard of client care.
- Work in accordance with relevant professional, ethical and regulatory requirements.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Current registration withAHPRA.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
- A client-centred and compassionate approach.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Current Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle, where travel is required.
- Relevant screening checks required for the role, such as a Working with Children Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check.
