We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our civil infrastructure delivery team on a major road project that has attracted significant public and media attention. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating site delivery, driving quality outcomes, and ensuring works are completed safely, on time and within budget.

This role offers hands‑on involvement in planning, commercial management, technical delivery and stakeholder coordination—ideal for an engineer ready to step up on a landmark project.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage day‑to‑day project activities to meet program milestones

Assist with project planning, programming and efficient construction methodologies

Support commercial management including cost tracking, variations, claims and EOTs

Ensure all QA documentation, testing and certification requirements are met

Provide technical guidance to site teams, including interpretation of drawings, specifications and contract conditions

Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders
-
Monitor and support health, safety and environmental compliance on site.

Assist with subcontractor management, procurement and resource allocation

Prepare reports covering progress, costs and project performance
What you'll need to succeed

Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or similar) or minimum 4+ years’ relevant civil construction experience

Strong experience in road construction or civil infrastructure projects

Sound understanding of construction methodologies, specifications and quality systems

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, high‑profile environment

Confident communicator with a collaborative, solutions‑focused approach.

Proficient with project software and reporting tools (MS Excel, Word, programming tools)

Current driving licence and construction safety induction (White/Blue Card)
