Objective: To assist the Corporate Solicitor in providing legal services and advice to meet the needs of Boroondara Council, while maintaining professionalism in liaisons with stakeholders.
Position Overview: Boroondara Council is seeking a law student, at least three years into their degree, or commencing their 4th year of a double degree in 2027 (or in their penultimate year of their degree in 2027) to work 2 days a week in the Legal Office at Council. The student should have a Distinction grade average with excellent grades for Real Estate law.
The student will work under the guidance of the in-house Corporate Solicitor and should be able to commence in mid to late July 2026.

Your demonstrated ability to achieve consistent University marks while managing additional responsibilities will set you apart for this role. You will bring:
- High level oral and written communication skills for internal and external liaison.
- Excellent time management skills, including planning, organising and prioritising workload.
- High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all work produced.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and show initiative.
- Completion of all Property Law units is desired.
- Candidates commencing their penultimate year of study in 2027 are preferred.
