Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate regular seniors' activity groups, community events, outings, workshops and special events.
- Act as the event host/MC, creating an engaging, welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for participants.

- Coordinate venues, restaurants, transport, suppliers, performers, volunteers and other event resources.
- Manage event registrations, attendance lists, schedules and participant communications.
- Provide clear event briefings to staff and volunteers and coordinate activities on the day.
- Build positive relationships with participants, families, community groups and local organisations.
- Collect participant feedback and identify opportunities to improve future activities.
- Support promotion of CALDA events through community networks and social media.

- Experience organising group outings, cultural activities, information sessions, celebrations or large community events.
- Knowledge of the Australian aged care and/or NDIS sector.
- Mandarin and/or Cantonese language skills are highly desirable.
- Existing connections with local community organisations, seniors' groups or multicultural communities.
- Experience with social media, event photography/video or promotional content would be an advantage.
About You
You are not simply an administrator who organises bookings. You enjoy being on the floor, interacting with participants and bringing an event to life.
You are comfortable welcoming a room full of seniors, introducing activities, coordinating staff and suppliers, responding to unexpected situations and making sure participants feel included and enjoy the experience.
Most importantly, you understand that a successful community event is about more than attendance numbers—it is about helping people connect, participate and feel that they belong.
Join CALDA
This position provides an opportunity to take an active role in developing CALDA's growing calendar of seniors' activities, community outings, cultural programs and special events across Sydney.
If you have aged care or NDIS activity-group experience and love organising and hosting events, we would like to hear from you.
