About the Role
Reporting directly to the Studio Owner, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the studio, including coaching leadership, staff development, operational management and member experience.
This is a hands-on role where you will combine management responsibilities with delivering high-quality group strength and conditioning sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operation of the fitness studio.
- Lead, mentor and develop the coaching team to maintain consistently high coaching standards.
- Deliver group strength and conditioning sessions in accordance with BFT programming.
- Manage coach rostering, performance and ongoing development.
- Ensure compliance with BFT operational procedures, workplace health and safety requirements and company policies.
- Monitor member experience and implement strategies to improve member engagement and retention.
- Oversee the presentation, cleanliness and organisation of the studio and equipment.
- Assist with member onboarding, goal setting and ongoing support.
- Monitor studio performance, key operational metrics and business objectives.
- Support local marketing initiatives, community engagement and business growth activities.
- Maintain a safe, welcoming and professional training environment.
- Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Certificate IV in Fitness as a minimum qualification.
- Diploma, Bachelor or higher qualification in Exercise Science, Sport Science or a related field is highly regarded.
- Minimum three years' experience delivering group strength and conditioning or functional fitness programs.
- Previous leadership, supervisory or management experience within the fitness industry.
- Strong knowledge of exercise technique, coaching methodology and movement quality.
- Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- A genuine passion for helping people achieve their health and fitness goals.
Experience working in a boutique group training environment such as BFT, F45, CrossFit or similar will be highly regarded.
