The Midfield Group is privately owned and operates a true ‘Paddock to Plate’ experience as we own farms, factories, and distribution as to ensure we retain control of the key elements of the process of getting livestock from paddock to plate.
We are currently seeking a Process Engineer who will play a pivotal role in improving manufacturing and processing performance through process optimisation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives across The Midfield Group.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Improve and optimise production processes to increase efficiency, throughput, quality, and reduce waste
- Monitor and analyse key performance metrics (e.g. output, downtime, yield, OEE) to identify improvement opportunities
- Support production teams with process troubleshooting and day-to-day operational issues
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and problem-solving tools
- Support commissioning and optimisation of new equipment and process changes
- Develop and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and control procedures
- Work with Maintenance, Production, Quality, and Projects to improve plant performance and reliability
- Ensure compliance with food safety (HACCP), quality, WHS, and environmental standards
Prepare reports and recommendations to support operational decision-making

SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
- Degree qualification in Engineering (Process, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline)
- Experience in a Process Engineer or similar role within manufacturing, food processing, FMCG, or industrial environments
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, problem solving, and operational optimisation
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Knowledge of workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement practices
