Position Brief - Team Leader Hospitality Operations
About the role
We’re looking for an industry professional to oversee the F&B operations of multiple outlets and venues across the Gold Coast. You will be based out of the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre at Carrara with oversite of Coomera Indoor Sports Centre, Carrara Indoor Stadium and Runaway Bay Indoor Stadium. You’ll play the leading role in managing our team, ensuring compliance, and maintaining top-notch service standards.
You will be the leader of most of our service delivery team, leading over 70 casual team members, being critical to the ongoing success of our operations. This is a coordination and planning role with rostering and people management being the cornerstone of the responsibilities.
This role is the heart-beat of our team. You will set the standards, organise yourself and others, prioritise tasks and projects all while supporting the Hospitality Operations Leader in developing new concepts, and strategizing the F&B department vision.
Key responsibilities:
Coordinate day-to-day food and beverage operations across multiple venues and outlets.
Lead workforce deployment, rostering and staffing adjustments to meet operational and event requirements.
Supervise, coach and support hospitality teams to deliver consistent service and product standards.
Support recruitment, onboarding, training and team development.
Oversee stock control, stocktakes, inventory accuracy and cost management.
Monitor stock usage, wastage, transfers and variances, implementing corrective actions where required.
Coordinate with Head Chefs, Duty Supervisors and hospitality teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
Attend client, event and operational planning meetings and coordinate hospitality requirements.
Ensure outlets are fully prepared with appropriate staffing, stock, equipment and service requirements.
Monitor labour utilisation, outlet performance and service outcomes, providing operational insights to management.
Implement operational plans, procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with food safety, liquor licensing, WHS and financial control requirements
We’re looking for people who have:
Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience
Responsible Management of Licenced Venues
Someone who is organised, approachable and adaptable
High focus on customer service
Knowledge of diverse food and beverage services
Ability to work flexibly over a 7 day operation, including weekends, evening and public holidays as required
Hold OR be willing to obtain
Drivers licence C Class
National Police Check
Forklift Licence
RMLV + Approved Manger licence
Food Safety Supervisor certification
