About If & When
If & When is a creative-first digital agency based in Bondi Junction, working across social media, content strategy, video production, photography and performance marketing.
We work with quality clients across a range of industries, creating content that is strategic, thoughtful and built to perform.
This is not your everyday social media role. You will be joining a full creative team, working alongside strategists, videographers, photographers, editors and operations support to bring strong ideas to life.

About the Role
We are looking for a creative, hands-on Social Media Manager who understands trends, storytelling and what makes content perform.
You will manage a select group of clients, giving you the space to properly understand each brand, develop strong ideas and create meaningful social content without being overloaded across too many accounts.
You will ideate, plan, strategise and analyse content, while working closely with our lead videographers, editing team, Operations team and Head of Strategy.
You will be involved from concept through to execution, including shoot planning, content direction, client communication and performance analysis.
What You’ll Do
- Manage a select portfolio of social media clients
- Support client communication alongside our Operations team and Head of Strategy
- Develop creative content ideas, campaigns and monthly content plans
- Write shot lists, creative briefs, hooks, captions and content direction
- Plan content around client goals, audience insights and platform trends
- Work hands-on at shoots with our lead videographers and creative team
- Brief and collaborate with our editing team to bring content to life
- Review content edits and provide clear creative feedback
- Analyse social media performance, including views, reach, engagement and follower growth
- Use data and insights to improve content, grow accounts and strengthen client results
- Stay across trends, platform updates and emerging content formats
- Build strong, positive relationships with clients and team members
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is creative, organised and genuinely excited by social media.
You understand how to turn a brand message into content that feels engaging, relevant and platform-native. You have a strong eye for visuals, a good understanding of trends and the ability to think both creatively and strategically.

You’ll Need
- Experience in social media management, content creation, marketing or a similar creative role
- A strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn
- A good eye for video, photography, framing and visual storytelling
- The ability to write clear shot lists, content plans and creative briefs
- Strong writing skills across hooks, captions and content direction
- Confidence identifying trends and turning them into brand-appropriate ideas
- An understanding of social media data, including views, reach, engagement and follower growth
- The ability to use insights to improve content and account performance
- Strong organisation, communication and client management skills
- A portfolio, social media examples or links to accounts you have worked on
- A kind, collaborative and proactive approach
Bonus Points For
Agency experience
Experience working on content shoots
Experience briefing editors, videographers or photographers
Experience creating social media reports or performance recommendations
Familiarity with tools such as CapCut, Canva, Later, Meta Business Suite or similar
Experience across hospitality, lifestyle, property, beauty, wellness, e-commerce or service-based brands
