Wirayangapa is seeking experienced and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our team supporting a female NDIS participant in Penrith.
About the Role
This role involves providing one-on-one support to a participant living with psychosocial disability. The successful applicant will be patient, calm, reliable and confident supporting someone who may experience emotional dysregulation, anxiety and behaviours of concern.
The participant highly values consistency and strong rapport, so we are seeking someone who can communicate naturally, build trust and provide reliable ongoing support.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 12 months' experience supporting people with disability, mental health or psychosocial disability
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to build rapport through clear, confident conversation
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Current Australian Driver Licence and reliable insured vehicle
- Smartphone with the ability to use mobile apps for rostering and documentation
- Full Australian working rights
Desirable
- Experience supporting participants with psychosocial disability, OCD, anxiety or behaviours of concern
- Mental Health First Aid
- Medication administration experience
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or Community Services

Pay: From $45.28 per hour
