We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Cook to join our team and help deliver high-quality meals and exceptional guest experiences.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chef and Accommodation Manager, the Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to a high standard.
- Assist with menu planning and food preparation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Monitor food quality and presentation.
- Assist with stock control and stock rotation.
- Minimise food waste and maintain portion control.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Assist with ordering and receiving food supplies.
- Comply with workplace health and safety requirements.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Minimum 1 year experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work weekends, public holidays and split shifts as required.
Desirable
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
- Experience working in remote or regional hospitality operations.
- First Aid Certificate.
