Westmead Private Hospital opened in October 2000 and is owned and operated by global hospital group, Ramsay Health Care. We cater for a broad range of health care needs from day surgery procedures through to highly complex surgery.
The 212 bed private hospital is co-located with Westmead Hospital and Westmead Children’s Hospital and is a teaching hospital of the Western Clinical School of the University of Sydney.
Our highly respected surgeons work with our team of skilled nurses and allied health professionals to provide the highest standard of personalised care to all our patients. The team work together to ensure our patient’s needs are met prior to admission, whilst in hospital and following discharge.
Job Description
Westmead Private Hospital is seeking passionate and enthusiastic Physiotherapists to join our highly regarded Allied Health team.
You will join our Inpatient Physiotherapy team, providing services across Westmead Private Hospital. We are seeking casual staff to support weekend coverage and weekday staffing shortfalls, providing an excellent opportunity for clinicians looking to gain additional experience within the acute hospital setting.
This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of acute physiotherapy areas, including:

Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Cardiorespiratory
-
Neurosurgery
-
Orthopaedics
-
Spinal surgery
-
General surgery
-
Men’s health
-
Women’s health
Successful candidates will be supported to develop and upskill across these clinical areas. Mentoring and education will be provided, along with regular in-service education sessions and journal clubs.
About You

Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy

Full and unrestricted AHPRA registration
-
Flexibility to work weekends and weekdays as needed.

Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, exercising sound professional judgement.

Demonstrated strong time management and organisational skills.

Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.

Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
