About the Venue:
Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise is a premium hotel located on the Gold Coast. The property features contemporary accommodation, conference and event facilities, food and beverage outlets, and leisure amenities catering to both corporate and leisure guests.
With a busy hotel operation and a diverse range of guests, our Housekeeping team plays an important role in maintaining high standards and contributing to the guest experience at the hotel. We are now looking for Housekeeping Room Attendants to join our team on a casual basis.
About the Role:
As a Housekeeping Room Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring guest rooms are clean, comfortable and presented to a consistently high standard.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong eye for detail and enjoys working as part of a team. You will work alongside our experienced Housekeeping team to service rooms efficiently and ensure they are ready for arriving guests.
This is a casual position with the opportunity to work across a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and service guest rooms to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation
- Make beds, change linen and replenish towels, amenities and guest supplies
- Clean and sanitise bathrooms and guest room facilities
- Vacuum, dust and maintain the overall presentation of guest rooms
- Assist with the cleaning and presentation of public and back-of-house areas as required
- Complete daily housekeeping duties efficiently and within required timeframes
- Report maintenance issues, lost property or safety concerns to the relevant department
- Maintain housekeeping equipment, supplies and storage areas in a clean and organised manner
- Follow safe work practices, chemical handling procedures and WHS requirements
- Provide friendly and professional service to guests when encountered during daily duties
- Work collaboratively with the wider Housekeeping team to ensure rooms are ready for arriving guests
About You:
Previous hotel housekeeping experience will be highly regarded, however candidates with transferable cleaning experience who are willing to learn are encouraged to apply.
You, ideally, will have:
- Previous experience in housekeeping, hotel cleaning or a similar role
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
- The ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality
- A reliable, positive and professional approach to work
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- The physical capability to carry out the requirements of a hands-on housekeeping role, including standing, bending and lifting
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
