We're partnering with a well-established premium lifestyle brand to recruit an experienced Product Developer to join their Melbourne-based team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded product professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership across the full product lifecycle. Working closely with creative, production and offshore teams, you'll play a key role in bringing innovative products to market while ensuring quality, timelines and commercial objectives are met.
About the Role
As Product Developer, you'll be responsible for managing products from concept through to production, collaborating with internal stakeholders and international suppliers to deliver high-quality collections across multiple categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end product development process from initial concept through to production and delivery.
- Create and maintain detailed technical packs and product specifications.
- Liaise with offshore suppliers and production partners to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery.
- Oversee sampling, approvals, fit comments and product refinements throughout development.
- Conduct quality reviews and troubleshoot production issues as they arise.
- Assist with costing, margin analysis and product pricing.
- Research market trends, materials and product innovations to support future ranges.
- Maintain accurate development calendars, production records and reporting.
About You
- Proven experience in a Product Development, Production, Technical or Design role within apparel, accessories or consumer products.
- Strong understanding of product development, sourcing, manufacturing and supply chain processes.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with international suppliers.
- Commercially minded with strong attention to detail.
- Proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable working autonomously.
