About the Role
Join CFA as our Senior Manager – Property Portfolio and play a pivotal role in managing one of Victoria's most significant and diverse property portfolios. Spanning more than 1,190 fire stations, training grounds, workshops, regional offices, emergency management facilities and corporate headquarters, this role is responsible for leading the delivery of CFA's property maintenance, acquisitions, leasing and disposal programs.
As a strategic leader, you will drive the effective management of CFA's property portfolio, ensuring assets are safe, compliant, sustainable and fit for purpose. You will provide expert advice to senior leaders, oversee the planning and delivery of major property initiatives, and lead a high-performing team to achieve organisational objectives within budget.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced property professional to combine strategic leadership, asset management expertise and program delivery capability in an organisation that supports Victorian communities every day.
About you

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline in business management and/or significant experience in property acquisition, disposal and lease management and building maintenance program experience.

Extensive management expertise in property transactions, preferably within government, and maintenance of a large asset base.

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage financial and human resources.

Working knowledge of policy and practice as it applies to real estate and property management and maintenance programs.

Ability to prepare and present exceptional, professional, concise and insightful management reporting and briefing materials for senior management.

Highly developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to successfully develop relationships, manage and influence stakeholder engaging with both internal and external parties at all levels of the organisation.

Demonstrated leadership and management skills with the ability to manage complex issues to develop innovative solutions and provide authoritative advice on complex property management problems.

High level understanding and experience in risk management with the ability to identify and manage a broad range of risks and business dependencies with strong skills in negotiation, influencing, networking, stakeholder management and communication skills.

Political acumen and a mature understanding of, and commitment to, the complexities and protocols of government and Industrial Relations processes with the ability to provide influential recommendations to CFA senior management.
