About the Company: The Fig Trees Disability Services is a prominent NDIS provider dedicated to client autonomy, social justice, and life-changing goals. We are currently growing our casual workforce within Adelaide's Eastern Suburbs and seek skilled, heart-led individuals to grow with us.
The Mission: Step onto the frontline of care. You will deliver person-centred assistance that aligns with custom NDIS support plans, ensuring our participants remain the central focus of our operations.
Key Tasks:
- Providing hands-on personal care (grooming, bathing, cooking, dressing) with maximum respect.
- Promoting community access, social integration, and transport to activities.
- Teaching and developing core skills like self-care and social interaction.
- Managing domestic tasks like shopping, cooking, and light housekeeping.
- Providing emotional advocacy and genuine companionship.
- Writing routine shift reports and upholding NDIS safety procedures.
- Liaising with the internal services team and client families.
What You Bring:
- Ideally, 6 months or more working in disability care settings.
- A Certificate III or IV in Disability Support (or similar certification).
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, coupled with technical literacy and time management.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
- Qualification relevant to the industry
- Driver's Licence & Reliable, Comprehensively Insured Vehicle.
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificates.
- Valid NDIS Worker Check, WWCC, National Police Certificate.
- Completed NDIS Induction Modules.
- Manual Handling & Infection Control training.
- Smartphone.
Compensation & Perks:
- Strong Wages: $34.44 to $36.23 hourly (SCHADS Award, Level 2.1-3.2) depending on qualifications. Generous penalty rates for nights, weekends, evenings, and public holidays. Specific allowances for first aid, broken shifts, mileage, and passive sleepovers.
- Roster Choices: From 10 up to 38 casual hours per week. Shifts available 24/7 across days, afternoons, nights, and weekends.
