Applicants currently enrolled in a combined Masters/PhD are eligible to apply if they have completed the equivalent of Masters degree requirements as part of the PhD pathway. Evidence of this is demonstrated by a completed PDEC-76 form and cover letter from the University confirming Masters degree requirements have been met.
Applicants are eligible to apply if they have completed an accredited Masters degree and are awaiting their graduation ceremony. Written confirmation from the University is required.
Successful applicants who have completed the Masters degree or Masters degree requirements and are awaiting full registration from the Psychology Board of Australia will be paid at Year 2 of the Psychologist Scale until they have full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, at which point they will commence on Year 1 of the Clinical Psychologist scale.
What you'll be doing
The Clinical Psychologist will be part of the OCD BOUNCE team, a multidisciplinary specialty service focused on paediatric obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). The role involves collaborating across multiple organisations, clinical services, and universities within the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network (SCHN) the South-Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) to support delivery of coordinated and integrated care. As a research-enabled service, the position also includes a strong research component. Responsibilities include developing research protocols, preparing ethics and site-specific authorisation applications, conducting data entry and analysis, and contributing to or managing research projects.

- Full Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia with fulll endorsement in Clinical Psychology , or eligibility to obtain endorsement.
- Completion of a minimum two-year full-time equivalent accredited postgraduate Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology.
- Proven experience in clinical assessment and delivering evidence based interventions to paediatric clients with obsessive-compulsive disorder.
- Demonstrated experience in research and clinical trial project management with knowledge and ability to work in accordance with key frameworks and principles of clinical trials, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and the National Clinical Trials Governance Framework.
- Advanced skills in data management and statistical analysis, including proficiency in software such as SPSS and R.
- Sound understanding of and ability to navigate, complex healthcare systems.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, work independently and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to fostering a culture of quality and patient safety in clinical research.
