ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a full-time Service Technician/Electrician to join our Water SA team in Adelaide.
We are looking for a dynamic and confident individual to join our team and take responsibility for the following, whilst working across multiple sites and industries:

Carry out onsite servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of water and wastewater treatment assets across a range of systems including RO, UF, UV, MBR, DAF, PFAS treatment systems, media filtration, pumps, chemical dosing systems, and associated equipment.

Perform onsite water quality testing, process monitoring, and system diagnostics, adjusting chemical dosing rates and operating parameters to maintain compliance and optimise plant performance.

Service and maintain PFAS treatment plants, including systems utilising activated carbon, ion exchange, membrane filtration, and other emerging treatment technologies.

Conduct membrane inspections, cleaning, integrity testing, and performance checks on RO and UF systems to maximise efficiency and asset life.

Install, commission, and optimise new treatment plants and equipment both onsite and in-house, ensuring systems meet design and operational requirements.

Liaise directly with clients in a professional manner, provide technical advice, and complete accurate service reports including recording, interpreting, and trending operational data.

Identify critical performance indicators, diagnose faults, and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime and improve reliability.

Assist in the manufacture, assembly, and refurbishment of treatment equipment and containerised systems, including RO, UF, UV, MBR, DAF, and PFAS treatment plants.

Maintain service schedules, spare parts requirements, and inventory levels to support efficient field operations.

Ensure all works are completed in accordance with safety procedures, environmental regulations, and quality standards, including safe handling of chemicals and contaminated media.

Be proactive in identifying process improvements, efficiency gains, and upgrade opportunities, while promoting additional service and plant improvement solutions to clients.

Assist with asset inspections, condition assessments, and preparation of equipment condition ratings to support asset management and lifecycle planning.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a flexible, self-motivated, professional and enthusiastic person with the following attributes:

A class electrician - certificate III in electrotechnology, instrumentation and PLC experience advantageous but not essential.

Previous experience in the operation and servicing of water treatment plant processes or systems.

Hands-on and mechanically minded, with strong problem-solving skills, both mechanical and electrical.

Adaptable, confident, responsible.

A willingness to travel for work within and outside SA, including remote areas as required.

Able to confidently communicate with clients and colleagues.

Able to carry chemical drums weighing approx. 15-20 Kg
-
Current Australian driver’s license.

Willingness to get Police Clearance, First Aid certificates and other role appropriate training.
