- Employment Type: Casual or Part Time
- Hourly Rate: $34.71 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading)

About The Role
Cumberland Manor is seeking a caring, reliable and motivated Laundry Attendant to join our dedicated Aged Care General Services team!
Your responsibilities will include:
- Sorting, washing, drying, folding and distributing resident clothing and facility linen.
- Ensuring residents' personal clothing is returned promptly and to the correct resident.
- Operating laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe laundry environment.
- Following infection prevention and control procedures when handling soiled laundry.
- Using cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
About You
The successful applicant will have a genuine passion for supporting older people and understand the importance of providing services that enhance residents' comfort, dignity and quality of life. You will be reliable, organised, able to work independently, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Essential:
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- A caring, respectful and compassionate approach when working with older people.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated initiative and good time management skills.
- A current national Police Check
- NDIS screening check
- Up to date COVID-19 vaccinations (3 doses) and influenza vaccine
Desirable:
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning, laundry or a similar environment (aged care experience highly regarded).
- Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves standing and walking for extended periods, repetitive lifting and carrying, pushing laundry trolleys, bending, reaching, and performing repetitive hand movements while working in a fast-paced laundry environment.
