This is not a maintenance recruitment role. This is a chance to build, shape and lead a national talent acquisition function at a critical point in AEA's growth.
At
Animal Emergency Australia (AEA), our hospitals rely on exceptional people doing extraordinary work for pets and the families who love them. In a market where emergency veterinarians and vet nurses are in short supply, we need a Talent Acquisition leader who can think differently, move quickly and build deep talent relationships.
We're looking for an experienced
Talent Acquisition Team Manager who can bring critical thinking, energy and practical leadership to one of the most important workforce challenges in our industry. You'll lead a passionate recruitment team, influence leaders, strengthen workforce pipelines and help ensure our hospitals have the people they need when pets and pet families need us most.
What You'll Do
- Lead and coach a collaborative recruitment team, including connecting and supporting team members across locations
- Contribute to talent acquisition strategy in a highly competitive talent market
- Build local and international workforce pipelines for critical veterinary roles
- Partner with leaders to forecast demand, strengthen employer brand and improve candidate experience
- Improve recruitment systems (JobAdder, Referoo, Employee Connect), reporting, technology and ways of working
This role reports into the CPO and leads a talent team of 2 talent acquisition specialists and 1 talent acquisition coordinator spread across Brisbane and Melbourne. Our talent team supports 14 clinics nationally with approximately 800 staff.
Who We're Looking For
You may come from healthcare, veterinary, aged care, disability, hospitality, retail, logistics or another talent-short industry. What matters most is that you know how to lead people, influence change and deliver results when talent is hard to find.
Why AEA?
You'll have the scope, trust and ownership to build meaningful change, work alongside passionate clinical leaders and create practical solutions to one of the industry's biggest workforce challenges.
Flexible hybrid work, professional development and first-class emergency veterinary care for your beloved fur babies are all part of who we are, and we're 100% Australian owned.
The right person matters most to us, and salary can be discussed as part of the conversation.
If you're ready for a role where your leadership will be visible, your ideas will matter and your work will directly shape the future of our workforce, we'd love to hear from you.
Applications will be reviewed as they are received. We encourage interested candidates to apply early. Animal Emergency Australia is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
