Description:
THE ROLE...
As our Assistant Store Manager, you'll support the Store Manager in leading the Midland showroom and ensuring the store operates safely, efficiently, and profitably. You will be actively involved in sales, customer service, merchandising, stock management, and team leadership, helping to create an environment where both customers and team members thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in the day-to-day operation of the store
- Lead by example and contribute to a positive, high-performing team culture
- Deliver exceptional customer service and build lasting customer relationships
- Drive sales growth across both retail and trade customers
- Prospect and develop new business opportunities within the local market
- Ensure visual merchandising and store presentation standards are maintained
- Assist with inventory management, stocktakes, ordering and stock control
- Champion a strong safety-first culture and promote compliance across the team
- Support the successful execution of promotions, campaigns and store initiatives
- Ensure company policies, procedures and systems are followed at all times
ABOUT YOU...
You are a motivated retail leader who enjoys developing people, building customer relationships and achieving results.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a retail leadership, supervisor or assistant management role
- Strong sales and customer service skills with a passion for delivering great outcomes
- The ability to motivate and influence others through positive leadership
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- The confidence to resolve customer issues and make sound decisions
- Solid computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly
- A proactive approach to identifying business opportunities and driving sales performance
