Introduction:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Training Advisor to support the Senior Training Advisor in delivering high-quality training programs that build workforce capability, maintain compliance, and contribute to a safe and productive mining operation.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Training Advisor, you will be responsible for facilitating, coordinating and delivering training across a range of operational departments. You will work closely with leaders and employees to ensure training programs are effective, compliant and aligned with site requirements.
This is a hands-on role that requires a strong operational background, excellent communication skills and a passion for developing people.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver, coordinate and administer a broad range of site-based training programs.
Conduct competency assessments, verifications and familiarisations across mining, processing, maintenance and Non-Processing Infrastructure departments.
Deliver mobile equipment training and assessments, including Move and Test training for Mobile Maintenance personnel.
Facilitate and coordinate high-risk work competency assessments.
Assist in the delivery of the Woodie Woodie Truck Greenie Program.
Conduct training needs analyses and assist in developing departmental training plans.
Support the implementation of the site's Health, Safety and Training Strategic Plan.
Provide guidance and support regarding compliance with the Mine Safety Management System.
Liaise with operational leaders to identify and deliver training that supports operational excellence.
Maintain training records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure training areas and equipment are maintained to a safe and effective standard.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Required Experience
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122).
Minimum 3 years' experience in a training, assessor or similar mining-related role.
At least 5 years' experience operating heavy mobile mining equipment.
Current HR Driver's License.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent facilitation, presentation and communication skills.
A strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Desired Experience
Experience using the INX InTuition Learning Management System.
Experience delivering training across multiple operational departments within a mining environment.
