About the role
Start your healthcare career with a fast growing Australian company and develop practical experience across pathology, patient support and business operations.
MediTests is looking for an organised, personable and motivated person to work closely with our two directors and support our day-to-day healthcare operations.
This is a development position not a senior management appointment. You do not need practice-management experience or an extensive healthcare background. We will teach you our systems, pathology processes and ways of working.
The opportunity would suit an early-career healthcare professional, recent health-related graduate, medical receptionist, pathology collector or customer-service professional who is ready to learn, take responsibility and grow with the business.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to customer enquiries by phone and email with professionalism and empathy
- Follow up missing, incomplete or delayed pathology results through to resolution
- Process eligible customer refunds accurately and promptly
- Liaise with practitioners and help grow MediTests’ practitioner network
- Assist with practitioner outreach, onboarding, training and ongoing support
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with practitioners
- Liaise with patients, pathology laboratories and collection centres
- Help resolve collection and pathology request-form issues
- Maintain accurate and confidential healthcare records
- Coordinate follow-ups, meetings and daily operational priorities
- Support procedure documentation, compliance and general administration
- Identify practical ways to improve our customer, practitioner and operational workflows
You will receive training and guidance initially. As your confidence grows, we will support you in taking ownership of routine matters and developing broader operational responsibilities.
About you
We are more interested in your potential and attitude than an impressive job title.
You will be:
- Friendly, articulate and confident communicating with people
- Professional and empathetic when supporting customers
- Organised, dependable and attentive to detail
- Curious and able to learn new systems quickly
- Comfortable receiving direction and applying feedback
- Proactive about following issues through to resolution
- Interested in healthcare, pathology or business operations
- Motivated to build a career and grow with a developing company
Experience in healthcare, pathology, medical reception, administration or customer service would be helpful but is not essential.
You do not need management experience. If you believe you have the communication skills, judgement and motivation to develop into the role, we encourage you to apply.
Why join MediTests?
- Build practical experience across healthcare and business operations
- Receive direct training and mentoring from the company’s directors

- Enjoy varied work instead of performing the same administrative tasks every day
- Contribute ideas and see the effect of your work
- Access flexible hybrid working after training

This is an opportunity to join MediTests early, learn how the business works and develop into a position with greater responsibility as the company grows.
To apply, please submit your resume and a short cover letter telling us why healthcare interests you, what you hope to learn in your next position and an example of when you took ownership of a problem.
