About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for two Packing/Warehouse Operators to join our new Ballarat site. This is a permanent full-time role with a unique long-term career path.
During the commissioning phase of the site, you'll become fully trained and competent operating our advanced FAWEMA packing equipment before transitioning into a permanent Warehouse Operator role as the site moves into steady-state operations. Your packing rate of pay will be retained following the transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating and monitoring automated bagging and packing line equipment (during commissioning)
- Conducting quality and weight checks to ensure product meets specification
- Responding to line alarms and minor faults, escalating when needed
- Keeping accurate production and downtime records
- Cross-training in warehouse operations alongside your packing duties
About You
You're someone who enjoys learning new technology, solving problems and working in a hands-on manufacturing environment. You don't need prior experience operating this specific equipment, we'll provide full training. You do need the aptitude and enthusiasm to learn.
What we're looking for:
- Experience in warehouse, dispatch or logistics - forklift licence preferred
- Comfortable using technology and learning new automated systems
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
- A team player who communicates clearly and shows up reliably
- Availability and flexibility to work a rotating roster during the commissioning phase.
